WHAT’S MOBBING NEXT?!
EleniaHaha's laughing out MOBBING loud let her take us into
the 187 future...
By Henrietta Darko
CEO: EleniaHaha The 187 Mob
From the Ratchet Hoop to No shade Ldn to THE MOB
Merchandise. Young London, Greek Cypriot and entrepreneur in her early twenties
Eleniahaha has had the 187 queens and their one and only princess Larrissa hitting
social media by storm from early last year, causing controversy and absolutely
changing the game for young, open minded business girls and women of today.
Being kicked out of two secondary schools one being Tolworth
girls’ school and the other Chessington community college, Elenia went on to
studying two hours a day at a PRU centre where she was frustrated at the fact
she had to carry on with her GCSE studies. In the end she found herself obtaining
an A in religious studies and D’s in her other subjects that were foundation
level as a grade C was the highest grade
she could achieve on her exam papers. After finishing at the PRU Elenia went on
to studying at the fashion retail academy in Oxford Street where she studied
fashion for a year. She then went on to DBA and studied events management,
leading her to study music production and music business which then moved her
onto her Djing career she is working on now with the MOB.
Even though she did not stay in school and was always
rebellious throughout her teen years, Elenia continues to advice and teach
young girls to stay in school and stay focused. So they can achieve their
dreams and goals in the future.
Starting out her MOB ideas from her bedroom, Elenia had
massive goals for this brand. Being the CEO and founder of the 187 MOB, herself
and co-founder Shenika better known as Shefleeka worked hard to create the
brand from designing garments, creating an introduction video to the MOB and now
their own MOB merchandise that was modelled by Profile Model Managements up and
coming Indonesian Instagram sensation Fifi Anicah.
My first thoughts of the MOB were that they were amazingly
creative, funny and very business minded. I must say they all have their own
personality. Elenia the outgoing and outspoken, Shenika the shy but strong
minded, Larrissa the funny and reserved then Stella the multitalented and
elegant. They all bring something different to the table for the brand, and
that’s why I feel they are doing so well with this movement.
We must say Tolworth girls’ and Chessington community college
lost out on a business diamond.
Maybe this is why young people all around England are fanatic about the MOB?
Here Elenia explains the MOB, their clothing line, accessories, upcoming
launches and their future.
What is the 187 MOB?
It’s a lifestyle brand, it’s like a tree. The trunk of the
tree is the clothing line and then it branches off into the Djing that I do, I released
a summer mix earlier this summer and did a bit of work with BBC 1Xtra. It then
takes us to Shenika; she is the head of design. Then Larrissa, my sister who is
looking at going into music and has her own blog now where she’s getting over
forty- five thousand views and has over two thousand subscribers in just a
month on only her first video. Last but not least we have Stella the aspiring
sophisticated lingerie model.
Do you feel you are fulfilling the goals you have set
yourself as a brand?
Yes, I am definitely starting to. A year and a half ago I
always knew I wanted to start movements and become as big as Pdiddy or even DJ
Khaled. I may not be there now but I am getting there with little steps for eg,
being able to inspire young women in their teens, going out for food in
restaurants I want, eating the food I want, going on holidays abroad I never
imagined I could ever go on.
How did the Ratchet hoop and No shade LDN come about?
These projects were completely separate to the 187 MOB brand. I was out one day in Brick Lane
this was about nine in the morning, and I was looking around being inspired by
the vintage accessories and clothes, I then thought about the old school hoop
earrings and It just clicked I rang Larrissa up straight away like I have this
sick idea etc, It was a very successful project so we will be starting up a brand called bouji room for the two accessory lines. You can see these accessories worn by singer/actress Paigey Cakey and also actress Chelsea Healey.
Is it just going to be online retail or are you looking
at retail stores as well?
I’ve always wanted an online movement, from the beginning
I’ve always thought how I can make good use of this piece of technology that we
all use day in and day out. Now I’m making money from social media. I get paid
to post the things I post on a daily. I’ve studied marketing so I also used my
skills from there to get me where I am today but yes we will be in a high
street store as well.
What should we be expecting next from the 187 MOB?
We have a feminine line coming out soon, we’ve given you the
merchandise line which is full of jumpers and sweats but that isn’t what we
rock on a daily. We love wearing feminine garments so we just want to give a
little taste of that. We have three weeks left until our MOB merchandise is
being launched at fresh laces London featuring a whole section for the MOB in
the shop. We will as well be collaborating with other brands and there will be
show appearances. There is so much more for the MOB to showcase to the world
and our fans.

“People forget the intro to that 187 MOB video. The Chinese
ladies at the start of the video were
wearing clothes me and Shenika designed. We picked the
fabric and created everything. We really
just wanted to cause a bit of controversy in the game and we
were triumphant in doing so, what
we’re piecing together at the moment for the brand will
definitely come with harsher criticism we’re
going to be on television screens soon. We just want to
inspire people because we are young
ladies who grew up
with nothing, came from nothing and we
believe we are trying to make
something of ourselves whilst uplifting women at the same
time. I and shenika are not from an
educational background but we’re showing females you can
take yourself to higher places with a
positive mindset and hard
work no matter your background.
Never let anyone tell you your goals are to big and unrealistic because with a positive mindset you come closer to living your fantasies you are then in the position to live better and bigger fantasies!
Attract the life you want to live by your thoughts.

I and shenika have big plans so it means the brand has
massive movements for the future, our goals
don’t stop here they are tremendously crazy and we know we
are going to fulfil them. Through this
we are showing females we don’t care what the negative
people say about us. We don’t stick to the
rules whether it’s what our opinions are, what we do or what
we post. We’re creating social change
in our steps to success and motivating women to be
independent. Getting their own source of
income and not having to depend on a man for anything. It’s
all about being able to work for
ourselves. I’m
creating a business from our lifestyle. The way we live is good, we’re not
rich, we
weren’t born rich we’re just trying to become successful for
freedom. We eat well and we go to nice
places all because of
our mindset because you attract what you want by being what you want. We
are coming from a
good place there’s things we do that people don’t see on their screens for
example when we interact with the homeless, it’s an intimate
time there’s no need for us to get our
cameras out at that point because that wouldn’t be natural
and people would know that wasn’t
coming for a genuine
heart.”
--The 187 future looks very bright; we hope to see a lot more from this
booming lifestyle brand --
I wish the best for these amazing girls and their unique lifestyle brand. Keep up the fabulous work!
You're Inspiring a lot of women out there.
